Are your Supplements Made in the USA?

  • Yes! All Nutrivein health supplements are manufactured in the USA, in an FDA registered, approved, and inspected state-of-the-art facility, with strict adherence to the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations.

Why Choose A Supplement Made in the USA?

  • When you choose a plant-based supplement made in the United States, you can be assured that you’re getting a quality product that is made in a regulated facility. Supplements shipped in from overseas might be subject to that country’s lax regulations, or might not be regulated at all. This means you could get fillers, dangerous chemicals, or even nothing but sugar.

Are They GMO-Free Supplements?

  • Some of them are. Simply take a look at the label on each product page to find out if a particular supplement in GMO-free or not.

Are They Vegan Supplements?

  • We do carry some vegan supplements. While we use a gelatin base for some supplements, we use a plant-based cellulose for others. If you take a look at a particular product’s label and it says that it’s vegan, you can be assured that there was no milk, egg, fish, or any animal-derived substance used in it.

Are They Gluten-Free Supplements?

  • Most are. Simply take a look at the labels on each product page to find out if the particular supplement was made without gluten.

Why Are So Many People Taking Supplements?

  • The only way for many people to take advantage of a particular plant’s properties is to take it in supplement form. They simply don’t live near it or grow up eating it, or it isn’t readily available for some other reason. Nutritional supplements allow more people access to plant properties that are strong, powerful and often used to help treat a variety of conditions.

What Time of Day Should Supplements Be Taken?

  • It all depends on the particular supplement you’re talking about. Some work better if taken with food, others are better taken 30 minutes before a meal so that the gut can work on them a bit before solid food is introduced. Also, be sure to read the label on any supplement that you choose to take.

Are There Any Side Effects?

  • Since our natural supplements are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA, side effects tend to be non-existent or very mild. (See the previous heading regarding how some of these can be alleviated by simply changing the time of day you take them.) 

Who Shouldn’t Take Supplements?

  • There are three groups of people who are advised to refrain from taking supplements that aren’t specifically recommended by their doctors: pregnant women, people under the age of 18, and anyone with a pre-existing medical condition. (This last one is especially true for anyone who might be undergoing surgery anytime soon.)
